Our Work in the Animal Health Industry

Sparhawk Labs was founded in 1987 by one of the principal owners, John U. Bascom, Vice President and COO. Originally located in Kansas City, Kansas, the facility was a 10,000 square foot building which manufactured Internal and External Solutions for Animal Health. In 1990, Bert Hughes, President and CEO. joined Sparhawk as a principal owner, and together they worked toward developing a company that emphasized Product Quality, Customer Service, and One-Stop Shopping.

With the support of our loyal customers, over the years Sparhawk Labs has grown and relocated to Lenexa, Kansas. Our facility is a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution center. Today, Sparhawk has 110 highly trained employees and manufactures a full line of Generic Animal Health products which include Injectables, Internal/External Solutions, Powders, Tablets, and Boluses.

Manufacturing is supported by our Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Microbiology Departments. These departments are staffed with degreed Chemists, Biologists, and Microbiologists. Our quality departments, working closely with our manufacturing departments, ensure that our customers always receive the quality product they have come to expect.
